Hello Explorers,
Welcome back to school! This is a new adventure for Tradiitional Kindergarten Students. We will learn the same curriculum as the Kindergarten class. You will explorer and learn new things that you will be able to participate in such as:
Art (Learn about painting, drawing, penciling, chalking or charcoa. How to use materials like paper, jewels, confetti, glue, cotton, wood pieces, google eyes, beads, threads, tissue, toilet paper and paper towels rolls, milk and egg cartons, etc...........)
English Language Development (Children will learn how to pronounce vowels, constantants sounds and identify sight words using them in a sentence).
Excercise / Recess (Children will develope and strengthen muscles of upper and lower areas including balancing skills).
Geography (Children will identify countries, states, cities, towns, oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, creeks, Historic locations, etc....)
History (Children will learn about their country or state, historical persons, events, equipment used, clothing, and materials used during that time period).
Math (Children will identify Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication, fractions, and algrebra. They will be exposed to math equations).
Music (Children will have the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument by learning how to play a keyboard, percussions, bells, tamborines, sticks, flutes, and learn how to sing). A Harvest Kindergarten Band will be created for plays or programs).
Reading (Children will learn how to read by using Core Books that has pictures and the words identifying the object).
Science (Children will learn about the weather, flowers, plants, trees, rocks, minerals, insects, reptiles, birds, mammals, and rodents, water, and magnets).
Social Studies (Children will learn about people, cultures, clothing or customs, foods, and materials used).
Spelling (Learn how to spell sight words of two, three, four, and five letter words).
Weather Reporting (Each child will have the opportunity to give a weather report each day).
Writing (Children will learn how to write their alphabets A to Z, numbers, first and last name, address, phone number, city, state, and zip code, and two to five letter words).
Chapel Time is included every Friday in our class. Children will participate in the Bible story. Christian music is played as children sing and dance to the music.
